I Found My Camino Journals

September 20, 2014

“To me, reading through old letters and journals is like treasure hunting. Somewhere in those faded, handwritten lines there is a story that has been packed away in a dusty old box for years.”
― Sara Sheridan

Tonight on my iPhone, I discovered multiple files of digital notes I made while I was on the Camino, but didn’t have the time or energy to edit and upload while I was there.

In hindsight, I wish that I had published them to my blog in real time rather than concerning myself with editing and crafting them into more finished pieces of work. But the nice thing is that reading them now is like taking a step back in time.

In the days and weeks to come, I will be publishing them slowly to my blog…

Is there a time when you found old journals of yours that you had forgotten about?

P.S. Two days after posting this, I updated my phone to IOS 8 and lost the journals in the process! Thankfully, after only a few hours, no tears, and a lot of mindful breathing, I was able to restore them from a backup.
