 “How lucky am I?” I think every time I go hiking here in Marin. This morning I simply stepped outside my front door and began walking.

Route: Tamalpais High School to Boot Jack
Distance: 7.42 miles (11.94 kilometers)
Elevation Gain: 1864 feet (568.15 meters)
Time: 3 hours, 45 minutes (amazing how picture-taking slows me down, lol)
Weather: about 65F
Shoes: Brooks Cascadia 9, size 11 (The “Right” Shoe)
Socks: WrightSock Coolmesh II size medium, short crew x 2. 
Notes: A little Hallux pain in left big toe. Slow-going because I stopped to take so many photos, which, sadly, don’t at all do the views justice.
